Method
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Core the apples, leaving the bottom intact to create a hollow center.
- In a bowl, mix the oats, brown sugar, nuts, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Stir in the melted butter until the mixture is crumbly.
- Spoon the oat mixture into each apple’s center, packing it lightly.
- Place the apples in a baking dish and pour apple juice or water around the base to keep them moist.
- Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the apples are tender.
